Please tell me how to season the oil.
A.
"Seasoning the oil" means applying oil to the surface of the iron to create a thin film that makes it less likely to stick. When you first start using it, the oil is not sufficiently seasoned, so it is recommended to thoroughly perform the "seasoning the oil" process.
- Heat over medium heat to completely remove moisture.
- Turn off the heat and add a generous amount of oil (1/2 to 1 cup).
- Heat over low heat for about 3 minutes (this is an important step to create the oil film).
- Turn off the heat and remove the excess oil.
- Wipe off the oil with a paper towel, rubbing it in.
